Brandon James Jarreau, age 40, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 25. He is no longer suffering from kidney and heart diseases he battled for so many years without complaint. Brandon had a kind and loving heart and a smile that could light up a room. He never met a stranger because he was so outgoing. He was a loyal friend and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He loved animals and was an avid LSU Tiger and New Orleans Saints fan. Brandon is survived by his father and step-mother, James (Jim) and Diane Jarreau; mother and step-father, Vickie (Wilson) and John Weaver; his brother, Jason Jarreau and step-brother, Jake Ortego. Also surviving him are his grandmother, Mary Wilson; uncle, Billy Wilson; aunt, Lynell Jarreau; aunt, Pug Daigle; cousins, Neal, Jamey, Tammy, Tracy, Tonya, Tara, and Allison; step-grandmother, Verna Weaver; and step-aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Doug and Eloise Jarreau; maternal grandfather, Bill Wilson; and step-brother, Troy Ortego. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Leela Belle and all of his friends- too many to mention but you know who you are and how much “B” loved all of you. Brandon will be sorely missed by all. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staffs of Ochsner- O’Neal Lane; Davita Dialysis, Canon Hospice (nurse Jessica) and to his dear friend, Jennifer, and all whom cared for and comforted Brandon in his final days. A visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 3pm until Memorial Service beginning at 5pm conducted by Rev. Frank Johnson. Condolences are welcome at www.greenoaksfunerals.com.
