Brady Henry Chaney

Brady H. Chaney passed away on Saturday August 20, 2022, at the age of 71 after a long illness. Brady was a long-time member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and loved the people there and before his illness volunteered in many aspects. Brady worked his entire career with the EBR Roads and Bridges department and retired to spend time working at home and following LSU athletics. As an avid LSU fan he devoted time to following the sports activities and players. Along with that, Brady was extremely devoted to others helping where he could and never forgetting a birthday or holiday where he could wish well to family and friends. During the last few years, Brady was cared for by Emily and Joe Woolie who assisted him during his illness. Brady is survived by his brother & sister-in-law – Sam & Elisa Chaney; Nephews, Adam, Matthew (Tiffany); niece, Amber Chaney. Preceded in death by mother, Therra Stephens Chaney, father- Henry Frank (Peanut) Chaney. Pallbearers will be: Bryan Greer, Kyle Stephens, Matthew Chaney, Adam Chaney, Joe Wooley, Frankie Johnson, Jr. A visitation will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 from 9am – 11am with a funeral service to begin at 11am at Greenoaks Funeral Home. 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70815. Interment to immediately follow.
