A homemaker and resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at her daughter's home. She was 83 and a former resident of Hammond and Gulf Breeze, Fla. Memorial visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Thursday, Jan. 21, from 10 a.m. until noon. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert N. Core and Jenny Core, Frisco, Texas; daughter, Nina C. Miller, Baton Rouge; and granddaughter, Katherine Camille Miller. Preceded in death by her father, Robert Roy McMichael; mother, Montoria Gay McMichael; and two aunts, Nina Katherine McMichael and Patricia Gay Midland. Special thanks to Sophie Waker.
