"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me, your rod and staff will comfort me." Guided by her favorite Bible passage, the 23rd Psalms, and surrounded by her family Betty Mills went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Betty was born on June 2, 1955. At the age of 58, Betty departed this world on Saturday night, January 18, 2014 at The Carpenter House. She was a native and resident of Baton Rouge. Betty was employed as a medical transcriptionist at East Louisiana State Hospital prior to taking a disability retirement in 1998. Today, Betty is no longer confined to a wheelchair and is walking the streets of gold. As a member of Cedarcrest Baptist Church, Betty appreciated the fellowship and love everyone showed her.
