Betty Joyce Lofton

Betty A. Lofton went home to heaven Jan. 13, 2024 at 2:00am Saturday morning. She went in her sleep at 92 years old. Mother of three, grandmother of two and Friend to hundreds. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Melton E. Lofton. Mother of Rhonda Lofton Levine (E. Scott Levine), Mark R. Lofton and Jonathan Lofton (Michelle Greco). Loving grandmother to Kayla Carmack and Layton C. Lofton. Betty also preceded in death by her second husband, Ottis (Happy) King. Sister to Jim Ashford (Mary), Kay Delamont (Maurice (Del) Delamont) and Amanda Ford (Tyler). Sister-in-law of Oscar Lofton (Billie Jean) and Margaret Lofton. She will be missed but has truly earned her place in heaven. Special thanks to her sister Amanda, her long time caregiver and the family would like to thank our sitters Jada and Latechia Hall of Sunset Total Care and St. Joseph Hospice for all their kindness and help.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA. On Thursday January 18, 2024 from 10:00 am until funeral service at 12:00pm.

Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
