Betty Lee Rozier Honoré, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday, April 19, 2021. Betty was born October 17, 1931, in Lafayette, Louisiana to Ernest and Alma Rozier. On October 18, 1950 Betty married Henry Harvey Honoré, Sr. of Baton Rouge. Betty and Harvey enjoyed a wonderful marriage of 33 years and raised seven children. While Harvey worked to build Harvey Honoré Construction Company and served on numerous community boards, Betty handled the demands of the household, all the while instilling the values of faith, service, and hard work in her children. Prior to Harvey's sudden death in 1983, Betty was Harvey's partner in life supporting him in his efforts to build a successful company and to serve and give back to the Baton Rouge community that had been so good to their family. After Harvey's death, Betty personally managed and maintained their several rental properties in Old South Baton Rouge, which provided housing for the elderly and indigent. For nearly 40 years Betty worked tirelessly to make sure her tenants were treated with dignity and had a respectable place to call home. Betty saw this work as her way of serving God by serving those less fortunate. Betty, or "Mom Betty" as she was affectionately known by both family and friends, was devoted to her Catholic faith and never missed an opportunity to share that devotion with her children and grandchildren, always stressing the importance of the Rosary as part of a daily prayer life. She was a long-time member of both St. Agnes and St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Churches, as well as numerous Catholic organizations, including, Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre, Legion of Mary, and Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Anthony Rozier, sister, Sadie Darensbourg, sisters-in-law Elsie (Joseph) Bates, Grace Honoré, Ceola Marcelle, and Jane Honoré, and great grandson, Noah Branigan. She is survived by her seven children and their spouses, all of Baton Rouge, Geretta (Rhaoul) Guillaume, H.
