Betty A. Dugas, a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the age of 77. Family meant the world to her. She enjoyed music, dancing, traveling, gardening, and antiquing. She was successful as a real estate agent and broker in her own real estate firm. Her greatest passion in life was being there for her family and enjoying the time they spent together. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Lester McCrory; daughters, Lori Palmer and husband, Edward, Linda Barbay and husband, Wade, Windy Corcoran and husband, Roger; step-children, Suzanne and Christopher; grandchildren, Nicholas, Kimberly, Taylor, Lyndsey, Carly, Austin, Layton, Brooke, Elizabeth, Claire, Joshua, and Michael; step-grandchildren, Roberto and Laurel; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Caden, Emmarie, Isaiah, and Avery; siblings, Joyce and husband, Lloyd, Jane and husband, Eugene, Theresa, Leon, Junior, Gustave, and Marie; sister-in-law, Joyce David; numerous nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends, Tom and Dorothy Sunderland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Dugas; parents, Wilbert and Annie David; and brother, Leroy David. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park. Special thanks to nephew Travis David, nieces Patti Z. Marionneaux and Heidi Zeringue, and caregiver Ernestine Johnson for unconditional love and support to Betty. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the LSU School of Music General Scholarship Fund.
