A resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 2:40 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Carpenter House Hospice. She was 95 and a native of Baptist. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, May 4, from 8:30 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. David Womack. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by three daughters, Carol R. Blades, Linda R. Diefenbach and Shiela R. Amond; two sons, Patrick M. Rogers and Jim L. Rogers; three sisters, Ida Randall, Lillie Stenstrud and Norma Lee Miller; two brothers, Bolden Bankston and Jack Bankston; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Rogers; two sons, Robert and Michael Rogers; parents, Bolden and Mary Albin Bankston; four sisters and a brother. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Carpenter House - St. Joseph Hospice.
