Bennett Dale Thompson Sr., 80, passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2011. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he was a retired pharmacist and owner of Dale's Pharmacy in Baton Rouge for 36 years. He and his wife retired to Diamondhead, Miss., to live in a golfing community. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Claudia Mire Thompson; children, Elizabeth Thompson, Ben Thompson Jr. and wife Tammy, Steve Thompson and wife Angee, Janet Thompson-Anderson, Brad Thompson and wife Lisa, John Thompson, and Amy Thompson Felton and husband Thomas; and grandchildren, Trey Ducote, Tara Boudreaux, Rebecca Boudreaux, Robert "Jamie" Boudreaux, Taylor Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Rachel Thompson, Stevie Thompson, Ross Thompson, Michelle Anderson, Elyse Anderson, Spencer Thompson, Benjamin Thompson, Jacob Thompson, Holly Thompson, Bennett Felton and Brett Felton. Dale was a graduate of Ole Miss Pharmacy School, an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman and a "diehard" rebel fan. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
