Arthur Stanley Ward

Arthur not only was the owner of Tune Up Inc., he also enjoyed drag racing and never lost a race, fishing and playing pool before losing his vision.

He is survived by two sisters, Lynette Courville in Texas and Mary Lynn Ward in Louisiana; stepdaughter, Jannese Lumsden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death is his wife of 40 years, Shirley S. Ward; parents, Arthur and Alma Costin Ward; daughter, Debra Ward; son, James Ward; and brothers, Travis L. Ward and Nelson Ward.

Pallbearers will be Ray Ward, Eric Babin, Joshua Ward, and Michael Vickers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jessie Dupuy, Michael Carpenter and Harvey Wilson.

Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, on Friday, 5, 2022 from 9:00am until funeral service time of 11:00am. Interment will immediately Greenoaks Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Arthur’s name to Macular Degeneration, Alzheimer’s Research or Cochlear Implants Research.
