Anne Price, beloved wife, mother, journalist, and community activist passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. She was wearing Mardi Gras beads, and joyfully visiting with her family at the time of her death. She died as she lived, with grace, beauty, and revelry for life. She never officially retired from her nearly 70 year career at The Advocate because she is one of a select group of people that truly loved her life's work. This is evident in the tremendous impact she made on the Baton Rouge community. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin W. Price, Jr. She is survived by her five sons; Edwin W. (Ted) Price, III and wife Cheryl, Geoff Price and wife Keren, John Price and wife Paulia, Evan Price, Richard Price and wife Georgine, One daughter, Carolyn Price Neyland and husband Mark. Twelve grandchildren; Jane Price, Anne Price and husband Ryan Kim, Susan Price, David Price, Kristen Price Moore and husband Keith, Halley Price Kelley and husband Ian, Ben Price and wife Mallory, Jess Price Heid and husband JJ, Nick Price, Ashley Neyland, Lance Neyland, and Bradley Neyland. Four great grandsons; John, Charlie, Nathan, and Austin. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 2:00 till 4:00 pm at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street with services to follow at 4:00 pm Rev. Carol Civils will officiate. Interment will be private under the directions of Rabenhorst Funeral Home.
