Our beloved mother passed away peacefully in her home in Eunice, Louisiana, on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the age of 78. She was born on April 16, 1945 in Kaplan, Louisiana to Homer Jobes and Ruth Jobes Heflin. Anna was a graduate of St. Charles Academy High School and Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
Anna was a devout Catholic and served St. George Parish Church and School and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church as a volunteer for over 30 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Jack Heflin; her brother, David Jobes; and her oldest daughter, Abigail Hamilton Aaron. Anna is survived by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Hamilton (Michael); sons Edmond Shane Hamilton (Marguerite), Brett Patrick Hamilton, Chad Harrison Hamilton (Tracy); and her grandchildren, Carson Rhodes, Whitney Hamilton, Grace Hamilton, Ashton Hamilton, Porter Heywood, Brock Hamilton & Dylan Hamilton; her sister, Magdalen Jobes Lissard (Steve), who was her constant companion and caregiver over the last 5 years; and many other loving relatives and friends.
We will greatly miss her words of wisdom and great wit but are comforted knowing she has joyfully reunited with Abby and her parents in Heaven where her phone will always be charged.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd. in Baton Rouge, LA on February 25, 2024 from 3pm – 5pm; Funeral Mass at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Way, Baton Rouge, LA on February 26, 2024 at 10am, followed by burial service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. in Baton Rouge, LA.
