Marie Beach, died on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, she was 91 years old. Marie was born on March 13, 1922, in Morgan City, but she was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. She retired from nursing after working many years at the Baton Rouge General Hospital. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Marie’s main focus was her family. She was a very creative person who enjoyed cooking, sewing, and quilting. Marie is survived by her sister, Loretta Torrance, of Baton Rouge, now of Slidell. Marie is survived by her four children, Paula Keyton and husband, Robert of Baton Rouge; Jenny Beach of Lafayette, and her children Robin Pereda of Greenville, SC, Renee Lastrapes of Lafayette, and Lee Lastrapes of New Orleans; Sarah Roberts and husband, John of Denham Springs, and their children, Johnny Roberts, Ami Roberts, and Clint Roberts all of Denham Springs; and her son, Paul “Rocky” Beach and his wife, Karen of Baton Rouge, and their children, Nicole Kelly of Denham Springs, Randall Hopson, Dorothy Beach and Steven Beach, all of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren. Marie had many nieces and nephews. Bill Miller, nephew and resident of Prairieville, was especially close to Marie. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Beach, parents, Tony and Sarah Cutrona, sister, Angie Miller, and brother, Camille Cutrona. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, January 24, 2014, from 5 PM until 8 PM with the Rosary being said at 7 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, January 25, 2014, from 8 AM until funeral service at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the wonderful, kind nurses and staff at St. Clare Manor and Hospice of Baton Rouge. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and her nephew, Bill Miller.
