Alta Mae Varnado Daniel, a native of Kentwood, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on September 8, 2017 at her Baton Rouge residence at the age of 90. Mrs. Daniel was a faithful member of Florida Blvd Baptist Church in Baton Rouge.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Varnado of Kentwood; and by her husband of 60 years Robert L. Daniel Jr. of Baton Rouge.
She is survived by her two children, Jeffery Daniel and Margaret Janet Daniel of Baton Rouge; daughter-in-law Valerie Daniel of Baton Rouge; granddaughter Adaire Daniel of Houston, Texas; brother Cart Varnado of Baton Rouge and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday September 14th from 6 to 8 pm and resuming on Friday September 15th from 10 am to service time at noon in Greenoaks Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Joey Beeson will officiate, burial will follow in Greekoaks Memorial Park.
