David Michael Jones, age 46, of Red Rock, TX, went to meet his Lord and Savior, on Friday, January 5, 2018. David was born on December 19, 1971, in Norman, Oklahoma to Kaye Eskew Bowman and Guy Jones. David was the middle child of 3 sisters. David graduated high school in 1991, from Carmel High School in Indiana.
On September 16, 1995, David married the love of his life and soul mate, Lisa Haberer-Jones. David and Lisa enjoyed life together. They enjoyed dancing and camping at Camp Ben McCulloch, in Driftwood, TX. David was a true family man, and loved spending time with his wife and children. David prided himself on his children’s athletic accomplishments. David coached both of his son’s in little league baseball and football, but also enjoyed watching his daughter in cheer, and play softball. All 3 wearing the number 9; his favorite number. Once the kids started middle school and high school, David was always watching them from the sidelines smiling, cheering and of course, encouraging them to “keep up the good work” with his beloved wife by his side. David had so much pride in his children and wife.
He enjoyed going outside working on the lawn or being with his horses. But, never passed up a day of golf or getting ready for a good day of football. He never missed an OU or a Cowboys game. Most of the time you had to leave the house while the game was on because you were either making too much noise or you couldn't handle him screaming at the television.
David will truly be missed by so many. His children will miss that stern voice when they have done wrong, or that sweet voice that says “I love you and have a good day”.
David is survived by his wife, Lisa Haberer-Jones; his sons, Chandler Jones and wife Jena Jones; Mason Jones; daughter, Megan Jones and special friend Sam Rueter; his in-law’s, Hayden and Marie Haberer; brother in-law, Ronnie and wife, Carrie Haberer; David’s mother and stepfather, Kaye and Jim Bowman; father, Guy Jones; sister Karen Wolsey; Aunts and uncles, Vada Woodall, Hugh Victor Jones Jr., Taylor Jones and wife, Delia, Dennis Jones; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
