David was born on October 1, 1967 in Martinsville, VA to the late William Terrell Clark and Collette Watkins Hankins, who survives. He was employed by Anderson Distribution and had formerly worked at Aarons.
David was a graduate of Bassett High School Class of 1985 where he played baseball. After high school, he played for various teams. David's favorite baseball team was the New York Yankees. He always rooted for them to win the World Series.
David loved the North Carolina Tarheels. The only team he did not like was Duke. He would texted his sister during basketball season to let her know "Duke is Puke." David was an avid baseball memorabilia collector with a large collection of baseball cards. He was a crafty woodsman that could make anyone laugh.
Rest in peace our protector. You are loved and missed.
