Born October 6, 1941, in Richlands, VA, he was a son of the late Robert C. Dye and Mary Lester Dye. Also preceding him in death was his step-mother Nancy H. Dye, and brothers Ronnie Dye and Robert C. Dye, Jr.
Tom retired from Camac in Bristol after 25 years of service. He was an active member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God where he volunteered as a bus driver for senior citizens there.
Tom is survived by two sons, Thomas David Dye, Jr. and Anthony Keith Dye, both of Summerville, SC, his sister Betty\Jeannie Ward of Spencer, his brother James Michael Dye of Richlands, and four grandchildren, Britney Nicole Dye, Bryan David Dye, Allyson Brianne Dye, Bret Anthony Dye.
The memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Collins Funeral Home in Bassett with the Rev. Curtis Ashley officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2 P.M. prior to the service.
