Ruby Moore Gilley

Ruby Ann Moore Gilley, 80, of 1620 Hodges Farm Road, Martinsville, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Blue Ridge Rehab Center in Martinsville. She was born on November 27, 1934 in Martinsville to Nick Moore and Salley Hankins Moore. Ruby retired from DuPont with thirty-two years of service and a member of Mount Bethel United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William “Moose” Moore and her sister, Betty Gillispie.

Surviving are her husband, Delma Gilley of the home, daughters, Eulalia Poff and husband, Timmy, and Kathy Rose of Martinsville, sons, William “Jr” DeHart and wife, Shelby of Martinsville and Delma “Tommy” Gilley, Jr. of Martinsville, brother, Earnest J. Moore of Martinsville and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday night, December 26, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM at Collins Funeral Chapel, Bassett.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home Chapel, Bassett with Pastor Steve Garner officiating.

Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery.
