Phyllis was born on June 18, 1954 to Phillip Sigmon and Mildred Martin Payne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an aunt, Mozelle Martin. She spent her life rooted in the community she loved, surrounded by family, friends and the comforts of home. Phyllis worked at Fieldcrest Mills and later devoted herself to her family as a housewife. Her days were filled with simple joys that brought her happiness and she had a deep affection for her dogs and found delight in browsing antique shops and “Granny Stores”. One of her favorite pastimes was sitting in her swing on the porch, enjoying quiet moments and the beauty of everyday life. She was cherished by her neighbors and friends, drawn to her by lively spirit. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
Phyllis is survived by her devoted husband, Allan Parker, two daughters, Kimberly Parker and Christie Parker Stroud.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date
