Melvin Hall, age 83, of Collinsville, Virginia passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023. Melvin P. Hall, age 83 of Collinsville, VA passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital after a decline in health. Mr. Hall was born on December 7, 1939 in Lewiston, Maine to Charles M.Hall and Elsie Pinkham Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ben Hall. Mr. Hall enjoyed wood working, traveling, hiking, spending time with family, story telling and loved to tell jokes. Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 27 years, Denise Joyce Hall, one daughter, Julia Glasgow (Steven), one son, Brian M. Hall (April), two sisters, Edith Bragan and Glennis Holland, two brothers, Charles E. Hall and Cal W. Hall, brother-in-law, Durwin Joyce, two granddaughters, Brooke Perez and Brianna Hall, two grandsons, Chase Pinkard and Clyde Hall, three great grandchildren, Damon, Kairo and Elise Perez. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, VA with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm with Mr. Irving Perez officiating.
