Mary King Toler

She was born October 22, 1935, in Henry, VA, a daughter of the late Tom King and Dorothy Jones King. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and Aaron King, five sisters, Hattie Cannaday, Pauline Hutchison, Edith DeHart, Alpha Ramsey, and Era Furrow, and her son-in-law, John A. Bradshaw.

Mary retired from Hooker Furniture Company in 2000, where she was an inspector at the plywood plant. She was a member of Horsepasture Christian Church and the Sunday School Class #7.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Barbara Young Bradshaw, a step-grandson, Jonathan A. Bradshaw, and a step-great-grandson, Eli John Bradshaw, all of Horsepasture. Also surviving is a sister, Lula Holley of Floyd, and a brother, Arthur King of Midlothian.

The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at Noon, at Collins Funeral Home, Bassett, with the Rev. Dave Cuthbertson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to Noon prior to the service. Interment will follow in Horsepasture Christian Church Cemetery. Flowers are accepted and memorials may be made to Horsepasture Christian Church.
