James Daniel Coleman

Mr. James “Moe” Coleman, age 75 of Bassett, VA passed away on September 30, 2023 . Mr. Coleman was born on July 20, 1948 in McDowell County, W. VA to the late Melvin Noel Coleman and the late Geneva Ruth Smith Coleman. He was also predeceased by a brother, Terry Jerome Coleman, father and mother-in-law, Herbert and Virginia Hazel Gardner, sister-laws, Virginia Avis Gardner Ramsey and Josie Faye Gardner Cox. He was owner and operator of Moe’s Bunch of Stuff. He never met a stranger and was known for being a “Jokester” Mr. Coleman is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Gardner Coleman, one daughter, Kimberly Coleman Dickerson, one son, James Daniel Coleman, Jr. (Jed), one grandson, Logan James Coleman, two sisters, Carol Yvonne Coleman Strider, Cathy Jean Coleman McCormick, three brothers, Rodney Allen Coleman, Randy Noel Coleman, Gerald Lee Coleman, brothers and sisters in-laws, Ed and Jennifer Gardner, Lester Gardner, Michael Gardner, Zelma G and Walter Belcher, Kathy G Young, Aileen G. Sink, several nieces and nephews, special friends: UNA Pumpkin Parcell, Doug Stegall and several more. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, VA. with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Dr. J.D.
