Elisha Thomas Hooker
February 2, 1939 – December 24, 2021

Elisha “Tommy” Hooker, age 82 of Bassett, Virginia, passed away on December 24, 2021. Tommy was born on February 2, 1939 to the late Elisha Hooker and the late Ella Irene Slate Hooker. He was also predeceased by a sister, Mattie Irene Hooker, a brother, Leonard Hooker and a granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Belle. He was of the Baptist Faith. He retired after 31 years of service from Bassett Chair Company in 2001. He loved Bluegrass Music, flat footing, hunting and fishing.
Tommy is survived by three daughters; Sharon K. Belle (Jeffrey), Carolyn H. Whitehead (Brian), Anita F. Hooker, one son, Chad T. Hooker, one sister, Margaret Jones (Mack), five brothers, Danny L. Hooker (Tammy), Otis Hooker, Johnny R. Hooker, Jimmy W. Hooker, Roy R. Hooker (Kay), four grandchildren, Jared T. Belle, Sara C. Belle, Tanner Whitehead, Amanda Hylton (Zach), three great grandchildren; Baylor Pack, Harlee Hylton and Addison Hylton. Fur friends; Tyson and Gracie.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, December 31, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, Virginia. Interment will follow in Henry Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Due to Covid-19, wearing of Face Mask will be required.
The family suggest in lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 3907, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
