David Lamont Ross

David Lamont Ross, 38, of 248 Beech Heights Road, Bassett, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Martinsville on October 10, 1973 to Larry Darnell Ross of Ridgeway and Matilda Hagwood Ross of Bassett. He served in the United States Navy and was employed with Commonwealth Laminating and Coating Co where he worked as a machine operator.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Posey and Mayomie Ross.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Stephanie Hairston Ross of the home, two daughters, Xena Monique Ross and Zakayla Rosemary Ross both of the home and one son, Zamran Lamont Ross of the home, two brothers, Larry and Terry Ross, both of Axton and maternal grandmother, Martha S. Turner of Spencer.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Refuge Temple Ministries with Minister Cornel S. Martin officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Friday, March 2, 2012 at the home from 2-6p.m. and a half hour before services at Refuge Temple Ministries.
