Richard “Dick” H. Ingram, 93, of Bartonville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025. He was born on November 11,1931 in Moline, Illinois. Dick married Doris R. Hislope on May 5, 1956 in Peoria, Illinois. They were married for 59 years. Doris preceded him in death.
Dick is survived by his three children, Pam Ingram (Kathy Calo), Teri (Mike) McKeighan, and Tim (Nina) Ingram. He has four grandchildren, Matt and Ben Hagen, Eric and Bethany Ingram and one great granddaughter, Annie Hagen.
Dick was a graduate of Moline High School, Western Illinois University, and served in the United States Army. He retired from Limestone Community High School in 1993 after 39 years of service. Dick began his career as a Biology teacher and retired as Guidance Counselor. He later served 16 years on the Limestone Community High School Board. After retirement, Dick volunteered for over 20 years at Methodist Hospital. He was also an active member of Timberlake Country Club for many years.
In addition to his passion for helping others and socializing with his many friends, Dick also enjoyed spending time with his family, writing letters to his loved ones, golfing, traveling, and working in his yard. He was a faithful member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for many years.
Family and friends appreciated Dick’s ever present sense of humor, penchant for organization, and mentorship skills. He was truly loved by many and his influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him.
Dick’s visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 9:00-11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Peoria, Illinois. A funeral mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. A private burial for family members will occur after the mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
