She was born on July 26, 1941 in Peoria, to Raymond and Hazel (Nett) Baird. She married Gerald Wright on January 5, 1960, in Peoria. He survives.
Nancy is also survived by her daughters, Robin Barnard of East Peoria, Veronica Baker of Bartonville, Joy (Keith) Haun of Bartonville, and Patricia (Ronald) Clements of Port Charlotte, FL; her grandchildren, Kristopher (Samantha) Baker, Joshua (Aleksa) Haun, Jared (Kristi) Haun, Kiersten (Timothy) Shelley, and Dylan (Nicole) Barnard; eleven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Dixie Shrum.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Nancy worked for the Limestone Independent News for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Limestone Walters Mothers Club. Nancy loved her flowers, and to garden.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A funeral service will be held at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 12pm, with a visitation to start 2 hours prior at 10am. A private family burial will take place at Smithville Cemetery.
