Michael "Mike" P. Cooney

He was born Nov. 18, 1942 in Chicago to Andrew and Alice Cooney. He married Geraldine “JoAnn” Kraushaar July 11, 1964 in Kane County, IL. She survives along with four daughters: Pam Cooney, Barb (Jim) Jones, Michele (Andrew) Fickes, Jamie (Christopher) Brooks, all of Peoria, eleven grandchildren: Cindy, Christopher, Nicholas, Austin, Jessica, Alex, Natalie, Kayla, Makya, Evan, and Jenna. Other survivors include one great-grandson, Alex Funcannon, three brothers and one sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Kevin Michael Hidden.

Mike just retired from Caterpillar, Inc. after working there for 45 years.

Funeral services will be Wednesday May 14, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Davison-Futon Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Peoria.
