He was born November 16, 1946 in Peoria to Edward V. and Lillian (Mason) Clinch. They preceded him in death along with one sister, Eileen Clinch.
He married Linda Lauer on March 6, 1971 in Peoria. She survives along with two daughters: Sarah (Chris) Collins of Springfield, IL, Erin (Ben) Noble of Washburn, two grandchildren: Leanna and Maeve, one sister, Susan Clinch of Sheridan, WY, one brother, Bernard (Catherine) Clinch of Los Angeles, CA, plus several nieces and nephews.
Mike served in the Coast Guard Reserves and for the Honor Guard at Boot Camp. He worked for Keystone Steel and Wire for 39 years and retired in 2013 as a Physical Distribution Coordinator.
He enjoyed planning and building home improvement projects, traveling, puzzles, and especially family time. He loved being a dad and grandpa.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial Mass for Mike will be Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St Ann Catholic Church in Peoria. A visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Ann Catholic Church in Peoria.
