The beautiful, kind hearted Keli was born Aug. 26, 1985 in Peoria to Russell and Patricia (Vermillion) Foster.
Surviving Keli is her mother, Patti (Sam) Clark, one brother, Dane Foster, one nephew, Sawyer Foster, her beloved chocolate lab, Brewno, family: Bobbi (Brian) Soule, Diana (Terry) Young, Chuck (Julie) Vermillion, David (Teri) Vermillion, Val (Jerry) Hornbacker, Jamie Engstrom, Sam (Tracy) Clark, and many cousins.
Keli Kay is preceded in death by her father, Russell Foster, Maternal Grandparents: Bob and Kay Vermillion, and Paternal Grandparents: John and Esther Foster.
Keli graduated from Limestone High School in 2003 then graduated from Monmouth College in 2007. At Limestone she was a member of the Key Club, Tennis team, and enjoyed hanging out with friends.
She worked at Sam’s Club in the Optical Dept., Risinger Brother Transfer, and Pleasant Valley Grade School working with Pre K kids (her dream job).
Keli never new a stranger. If she was your friend she knew your family. You could always ask her someone’s name and she would be able to tell you all about the person and their family.
Holidays were important especially St. Patrick’s Day and Thanksgiving. She walked in her first St Patty’s Day parade when she was four years old. She loved to share that day with her brother and nephew. She also walked in the Santa Parade with the Key Club. She loved family get together’s, it didn’t matter the occasion.
Some of Keli’s interest included Peoria area Pool leagues, skating with the Roller Derby, singing karaoke, camping, fishing, movie and game night. She also enjoyed helping out with fundraisers, making homemade noodles with Mimi and Uncle David, and going on bus trips with her mother to the Cubs games.
Keli always said “Mom, God is good” and smile, every time she had a surgery. To all that loved my daughter, you all had a special place in her heart.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Easter Seals or St Jude Run.
Following the services, a celebration of Keli’s life will take place at the Bartonville VFW, Post 3883, 4518 S Lafayette Ave., Bartonville.
