John W. St. Clair Jr.

John W. St. Clair Jr., 56, of Bartonville, Illinois, died Thursday at 12:10 PM at the Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. He was born December 3, 1954 in Peoria. He was the son of John W. and Myrt (Koestner) St. Clair Sr. He married Peggy A. Morris on March 5, 2004 in Peoria. She survives along with his mother, Myrt St. Clair of Peoria, and one daughter, Jennifer Genovese of Bartonville, one son, Chad Genovese of Chester, Illinois. One sister Terry St. Clair of Peoria. He will be missed by his best friend and companion “Stumpy” along with Oscar. He was preceded in death by his father and one infant son.

John loved many sporting events, especially NASCAR and was a very loyal Dale Earnhardt fan. He also followed intently the Indianapolis Colts NFL Team. He loved spending time with his wife, close family members and friends.

John worked 39 years in the core room at Caterpillar Inc. He last worked in August of 2010. He was a member of Local Union 974.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 4:45 P.M. at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. Cliff Parks will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 PM at the funeral home on Sunday. Cremation rites will be accorded and private inurnment services will occur at a later date.
