Jimmy John Harper, born May 11th 1963, lived his life with family and friends in Peoria. He had a kind heart and would help any stranger that needed it.
Jim loved his family, especially his 2 children Jenny and Wyatt. He was a great brother, and will also be deeply missed by his surviving 3 siblings, Cheryl, Judy, and Gary.
He loved to sit and think, drink a warm beer, and enjoy nature, whether it was fishing, boating, 4-wheeling, or just watching trains go by. He always had a dog by his side or on his lap, usually a Chihuahua. He was a quiet man until he wasn’t. Then he was probably singing and playing a guitar he couldn’t play. He had the lamest dad jokes before they were a thing and told ghost stories around bonfires. He was a man’s man that wore flannels, drove tractors and big trucks, and no cut or injury ever seemed to faze him. If he were here right now he’d be sitting on the porch watching the world go by and drinking a beer with me.
