Jamie Lynn Harper

Jamie Lynn Harper was born March 12, 1964 in Peoria, IL to Herbert Allen and Lois Lynn (Porter) Schertz. She married her high school sweetheart, Jim Harper in 1982 and had 2 wonderful children who she was completely devoted to, Jenny Lynn and James Wyatt.

Jamie was caring, giving, fun, feisty, and full of life. Her stature was small but her love was enormous. Her kind and bubby personality was infectious. Any person or animal that met her was instantly comforted in her presence.

Jamie was the first to welcome you with a smile. Through whatever hardships in life she always kept that beautiful smile. She was the first to be there for anyone or anything in need. Without hesitation she'd drop her own plans to help friends and family. Even though she could do anything she put her mind to: kayaking, welding, building fences it is her hugs and stories that will be missed the most. It is the soothing cups of coffee that only Jamie could make, listening to that sweet gravelly voice mixed with love and wisdom that will be so deeply missed.

Jamie was also the first to put you in your place if needed! Like her chihuahuas she so dearly loved she was tiny and tough with a heart full of nothing but love. Her wings were ready but my heart was not.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Trivoli Cemetery.
