Guy Alden Snyder

Guy was born July 18, 1938 in Peoria, the son of Charles H. and Helen Lynn Palmer Snyder. He married Janet Seibold on July 2, 1960 in Peoria.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years; four daughters, Jodi (David) Ezell of St. Louis, Gayle Paladino of New Milford, CT, Joann (Vince) Nannini of Pleasant Prairie, WI, and Geri (Mark) Aftanski of Woodstock, IL; nine grandchildren, Nancy, Nicole, Trisa, Nathaniel, Colton, Reno, Madison, Caroline, Alyssa; and one sister, Leedra Ade of Motley, MN.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, Gary; one infant grandson, Guy Michael Ezell; and two brothers, Arl Snyder and Garold Snyder.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bartonville.

Guy was a lifetime member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, and founder of his local chapter, # 563. He was also a member of the American Legion Post # 35 in Glasford, the NRA, and the Civil War Preservation Society.

He enjoyed numerous hobbies; photography, airplanes, visiting Civil War battlefields, Nascar, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Deacon Louis Tomlianovich will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel and thirty minutes prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to the Bartonville Rescue Squad or St. Anthony Catholic Church.
