Eleanor F. Rosenbohm, 100, of Peoria, formerly of Bartonville, passed away at 12:40 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Liberty Village of Peoria. She was born on June 9, 1920 in Peoria County, a daughter of Edward and Mary (Fischer) Kroepel. She married Albert Rosenbohm on January 20, 1940 in Glasford. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2012 in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Dean Langjahr; one sister, Bernice Stevens; and one brother, Lawrence Kroepel. Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Carol Langjahr of Peoria; two grandchildren, Sherry (Robert) Wear of Keller, TX and Greg (Wendy) Langjahr of Hartsville, SC; four great-grandchildren, Lauren and Bert Wear and Nathan and Nicholas Langjahr; one sister, Irma Uphoff of Pekin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville, the Peoria Farm Bureau Primetimers, and volunteered as an election judge for many years.
Eleanor’s graveside service will be private at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Bartonville. Rev. Michael Jones will officiate. There will be no visitation. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements. There will be a celebration of life service at church at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
