

Clara E. Maricle , 86, of Bartonville, Illinois, died at 1:06 PM Saturday, February 26, 2011 in OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. She was born October 3, 1924 in Junction City, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of David and Mary (Erickson) House. She married Kenneth C. Maricle on January 11, 1946 in Arkansas. He preceded her in death October 22, 1992 in Peoria, Illinois.
Clara worked in her earlier years for the Emerson Electric Company in St. Louis supporting the war effort, and later worked for many years at the Hiram Walker Distillery in Peoria from which she retired. She was a member of the Women’s Auxillary of the Bartonville American Legion Post 979,the Elks Lodge of Peoria and the Moose Lodge of Peoria. She was also a member of the German American Society. She was of the Lutheran faith.
She is survivied by one son, Wayne E. (Rhonda) Maricle of St. Charles, Missouri, one daughter, Noreen C. (Michael) Maricle-Hichak of Marietta, Georgia.
Four Grandchildren survive, Jennifer Maricle of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Jeffrey Maricle of Chicago, Illinois, Jamie Davitt of Rye, New York, and Travis Maricle of St. Charles, Missouri. She also has three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Bartonville.
