Betty Marie Keyes

She was born on May 18, 1928, in Crystal Lake, IL, to Stanley and Gertrude (Blair) Pirog. She married Willis Parker Keyes in Peoria. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1999.

Surviving are her children, Janet (Earl) Wys of Peoria, IL and Karen (Dennis) Vicary of Hanna City, IL; four grandchildren, Tammy Wys, Chad Wys, Ryan (Genevieve) Vicary, and Mandy (Matt) Vicary; and two great-grandchildren, Alessandra and Asher.

Preceding her in death was one brother, Jack Pirog, of DePue, IL, and one sister, Dorothy Jenkins, of Oak Hill, IL.

Betty was a member of the American Legion 979. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life and she was very involved, attending countless school activities, sporting events, birthday parties, and holidays. She traveled around the country with her grandchildren after her husband passed away, spending time in California, on the east coast, and in Florida. In later years, she loved to check her iPad daily for pictures and videos of her great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service was held at Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
