Betty Rose Gall, 92, of Bartonville, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Carle Health - Proctor Hospital in Peoria. She was born on June 29, 1932 in Bartonville, a daughter of Orville Jones and Catherine (Ricca) Jones. Betty married Marvin John Gall on June 16, 1951 in Bartonville. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2015 in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Henry Lautenberger; and one sister-in-law, Janette Jones.
Betty is survived by her three sons, Jeff (Denise) Gall of Bartonville, Steve (Vicki) Gall of Bartonville, and Doug (Jean) Gall of Groveland; two grandsons, Justin Gall of Pekin and Kyle (Becky) Gall of Bartonville; two granddaughters, Tia Gall of Bartonville and Jamie Gall of Groveland; and five great-grandsons, Tyler, Mason, and Aidan Gall of Bartonville, Hayden Gall of Mackinaw, and Izaeah McGhee of Mackinaw ; two brothers, Bill (Kay) Jones of Bartonville and Bob Jones of Manito; one brother-in-law, Rick (Paula) Gall of Bartonville; and several nieces and nephews.
Betty last worked in the cafeteria at Pleasant Valley Elementary School. She previously worked in the cafeteria at Oak Grove East Elementary School and Limestone High School.
Betty and Marvin spent many happy years with their family and friends at their cabin on the Mississippi River. They were also both members of the Mid-Illinois Retriever Club, raising and training Black Labrador Retrievers. She loved fishing trips with her family. Betty was an avid bowler, bowling on many leagues over the years. She loved to cook and bake, especially for her family.
Betty's funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Monday, April 28, 2025 at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Her visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the funeral chapel. An additional visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 10:30 am on Monday at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Bartonville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate Clinic or American Heart Association or Alzheimer's Association or the Midwest Food Bank.
