Betty Joan Dunham

She was born on July 20, 1934 in Peoria to Velda Thomas Doty and Marie Emelia (Schulz) Doty, and married Clarence “Bud” Milton Dunham, Jr. on December 26, 1952. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1991.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Arnett; and an infant brother, George Doty.

She is survived by her children, Diana (Thom) Quinn, Brenda (David) Brantley, Tom Dunham, Pam (Bill) Larson, and Tim (Caroline Slack) Dunham; grandchildren, Bryan (Lisa) Brannen, Dawn (Nate) Bregoli, David Brannen, Deanna (Patrick) Zimmerman, Aaron Dunham, Chris Larson, and Sarah Larson; great-grandchildren, Emelia, Olive, and Liam; and brother-in-law, Jim Arnett.

Betty enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, gambling, and most importantly, spending time with her children, and grandchildren. She was a former member of the Red Hat Society, American Legion, and VFW. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, and a former member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Cremation has been accorded, and inurnment will take place at Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Bethel Lutheran Church with a luncheon to follow. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
