Barbara May Montgomery

She was born on March 25, 1934 in Peoria to the late Harold Arnold and Genevieve Cora (Hughes) DeCesari. She married her lifelong partner, William “Bill” Barton Montgomery, on December 17, 2014, and he passed away on June 21, 2015.

Barbara was also preceded in death by her siblings, Harold Arthur DeCesari, John Edward DeCesari, George David DeCesari, Gerald Ray DeCesari, and Donald Lee DeCesari.

She is survived by two children, Michael (Kim) DeCesari of Mapleton and Theresa Leroy-Davis of Dunlap, grandchildren, Jennie (Nate) Waldo, Valerie (Tim) Bennett, Ann-Marie (Jake) Wofford, Bryan Miller, Jayme (TJ) Byard, Nicole (Andrew) Walther, and Zachary (Melissa) Leroy, great-grandchildren, Brenna, Cooper, Jaydan, Landan, Dylan, Joce, Bradley, Coco, Ezra, Alyssa, Army Private Brian Closen, Navy Seaman Apprentice Chloe Mae Closen, Liam, Mattingly, and Elena, sister, Penny (Danny) Sturdivant of Peoria, and her beloved Shih tzu, Buddy.

In her free time, Barbara enjoyed playing Bingo and watching Game Show Network.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PCAPS or the Alzheimer’s Association.
