Patricia Ann Holdford Autry, long time resident of Germantown, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at Baptist Hospital on Monday, May 23, 2022 surrounded by her loving family and with her husband of 41 years, Danny Autry, by her side.
Tricia was born in Fairbanks, Alaska on May 28, 1953 the daughter of Edward and Shirley ‘Sissy’ Wilkinson. She was raised in Hernando MS, the oldest of 5 children. Following graduation from Westwood High School, Tricia attended Memphis State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications/journalism.
She was employed for 26 years at FedEx in the communications department retiring in 2007. Tricia was a well-traveled and accomplished employee, earning many awards for her service, including a coveted Fedex 'Bravo-Zulu.'
Following her retirement, she was a free-lance journalist contributing community interest articles to several local area publications. Gardening was a passion of Tricia’s as evidenced by the meticulous landscaping and flowers throughout her yard. She also dabbled in real estate and owned a small liquor store in Hernando.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Tricia is survived by her two sons, David Jarrod Holdford and his wife Monica Burt, Dustin Eugene Autry and his wife Alicia, grandchildren Campbell Autry, Lucas Holdford, Violet Burt-Holdford, Quinton Burt and Maxwell James; mother-in-law, Maggie Autry; and siblings, Clay, Shirlene and Mark as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Taylor Wilkinson.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Midsouth Organ Transplant team for their care and compassion as Tricia had chosen to be an organ donor. It is requested that any donations in Tricia’s memory be sent to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or an organization of the donor’s choosing.
A gathering of family and friends for Patricia will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, followed by a memorial service from 2:00 PM.
