Thomas Scott Parker, 72, of Memphis, TN, was born July 23, 1944 and passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at his home. He was a retired rate clerk for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. He served as vice president for the Memphis Railroad and Trolley museum and on the board of directors for Raleigh Community Council. He was also appointed to the Ethics Committee for the City of Memphis.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Martha Parker.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Glenda Parker. He also leaves four daughter’s Melissa Chambers, Mary Smith, Pam Loefel, and Peri Winfrey; and six grandchildren; Sarah Reaves, David Jackson, Kelsey Loefel, Marissa Loefel, Nick and Laura Winfrey. He also leaves two brothers David and Mike Parker and one sister Ann Burgess.
The family will receive friends from noon until service time at 2pm, on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N., Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN 38133.
