Shirley Bridges Staten, 80, of Collierville, TN passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017. She retired in 1995 from St. Francis Hospital-Memphis medical records department, was a graduate of Lambuth University, was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Staten was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Staten in 2003; and is survived by her children, Debbie Poole (Barry) of Collierville, TN, Gina Plunk (Ken) of Rogers, AR and William Staten of Collierville, TN; siblings, Glenda Montgomery of Bartlett, TN, Nancy Crews of Scotts Hill, TN and Ricky Bridges of Sardis, TN; grandchildren, Lauren and Andrew Poole, Conner, Alex and Ashley Plunk. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN. The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
