Shirley Jean Birchfield, 85, of Atoka, Tennessee was welcomed into the arms of her savior on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Shirley passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. She was born April 4, 1936 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred Birchfield, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Ray (Jimmy) of Atoka, TN and her son, Fred Birchfield, Jr. (Lynn) of Brighton, TN, her brother, Eddie Brewer (Sandra) of Hickory With, TN. Shirley also leaves behind her grandchildren; Jeanie Ray of Memphis, Gabriel Ray of Atoka, Huston Birchfield of Brighton, TN and Haven Birchfield of Brighton, TN as well as her three great-grandchildren Easton, Kinsley, and Kennedy Ray of Atoka.
The family will receive guests for a visitation service on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a funeral service and committal to follow. All services will be held at Oaklawn Baptist Church, 5714 Benjestown Rd, Memphis, TN 38127.
