Rodney Allen Gordon, age 48, of Bartlett, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Rodney was born on May 31, 1973 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He was loved by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He was very dedicated to his profession, having served remarkably for over 27 years. Rodney enjoyed competitive sports including Hockey, which he loved playing at the Icehouse in Olive Branch. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and an active member of the Bartlett community. Rodney loved boating and fishing while spending time at the lake with his family and friends. His pride and joy included watching his sons, Rylie and Caleb play soccer and flying with Noah. His greatest accomplishment and legacy was creating a beautiful life with his best friend and wife, Rachel, their three sons, and their loving family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Diana Davis. Rodney is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Rachel Gordon, his three sons; Rylie Gordon (Melanie), Noah Gordon, Caleb Gordon, his father, Rodney Gordon Sr., and his brother, Steven Duensing.
The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Saturday, July 17, 2021, with a funeral service at 2pm, on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway Bartlett, TN 38133.
