Robert faithfully served the Lord the last five plus years at The Harvest Home Recovery Ministry in Ward, Arkansas where he lived. He was instrumental in bringing many to sobriety through salvation in Christ Jesus. Bob was successful in many things during life, including an award-winning athlete in track and football, as well as achieving AQHA World Championships showing in Halter classes. This gave him great joy! He is now free from his roller coaster ride of balancing the shaking and dyskinesia struggles with Parkinson’s.
Robert received his primary education at Georgian Hills Elementary School and Scenic Hills Elementary School. He completed secondary school at Sky View Academy. Robert went on to college at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas and Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Robert earned his master’s degree at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
He is survived by his sisters, Dianne Dahlke (Bruce), Ginger Livingston, Sandy Massey (Phil) and Ruth Ann Dix (Phil); and, 5 nephews and a niece, 2 great nephews, and 2 great nieces, and one on the way, and a wealth of extended family. Robert is preceded in death by his parents Robert Eugene Forsythe Sr., Peggy Ann Crain, grandparents, brother-in-law Andy, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday July 20, 2024, at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh LaGrange Rd, Memphis, TN 38134. Pallbearers are Ryne Dahlke, Tyler Massey, Taylor Dix, Peyton Dix, Houston Ciaramitaro, and Chris Lindsey.
In Lieu of Flowers, contributions can be made in Robert’s memory to Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Cordova, The Harvest Home in Ward, Arkansas, and Teen Challenge in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
