Richartz "Dick" Kenneth Shelton, Sr.

Richartz "Dick" Kenneth Shelton, Sr., 83, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on December 10, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents William Kenneth Shelton and Ruth Richartz Shelton, daughter, Donna Shelton Edwards, granddaughter, Cynthia Fletcher, and sister Billie Jean Nuesch. He is survived by his wife Shirley Ann Reedy Shelton, son Richartz K. Shelton, Jr. (Lori), daughter, Carla Denise Fletcher (Carl), nine grandchildren, Douglas Shelton (Chrissy), Bryan Shelton, Richartz K. Shelton, III (Jessica), Robert Shelton (Lacey), Tracy Fletcher Pekmezci, April Fletcher, Victoria Fletcher, Donald Edwards, Jr. (Amber), Dustin Edwards, and seven great-grandchildren. Dick was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea as a paratrooper and earned a Bronze Star. He was also a leader in the Boy Scouts and was a member of Al Chymia Shriners. He enjoyed working in his yard, helping family, friends, and neighbors in any way that he could. Dick will be remembered as a generous, loving husband, father, and grandfather. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 14 from noon until the time of the service at two o'clock at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tennessee.
