Ret. USAF Lt. Col. James Benton McCormick

James Benton McCormick Lt.Col Ret. USAF, age 79, of Como, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. James was born October 18, 1941 in Grenada, MS. Mr. McComick, spent 23 years in the Air Force before retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. After his retirement, he went to work for FedEx for 17 years as a pilot. Mr. McCormick enjoyed raising goats, riding his Harley, hunting, and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife Samantha McCormick, his parents, Robert and Lille Mae McCormick, and his brother, Bobby McCormick. Mr. McCormick is survived by his children, Michelle Wyatt (Brad), Matt McCormick (Bobbi), his 5 grandchildren; Parker, Chase, and Carson Wyatt and Rylee-Joy and James McCormick, and a step-daughter, Dana Dix.

The family will be having a private service with Military Honors at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Wreaths Across America.
