Raymond A. Winkler, Jr., 65 of Cordova passed away April 23, 2011.He was a member of St. Cecelia. Raymond was an Eagle Scout and Order of the Arrow. Raymond earned an Industrial Engineering degree from Memphis State University. He served as a Reserve Deputy with the Shelby County Sheriff's Dept. for 25 years and retired from MLG&W as a supervisor. Raymond had a great love for his family, children and his dogs. He is survived by his wife, Marguerite; daughters, Wendy Beaver, Anna Winkler; son, Tony Winkler; stepdaughters, Cheryl Carter, Jennifer Stephens; stepson, Michael Ruffner; sister, Alice Mierisch; brother, Francis Winkler; two grandchildren, Marshal Winkler, Zackery Beaver; four step-grandchildren, Dustin Carter, Daniel Ruffner, Ryan Cordice and Rachel Stephens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 27, from 5-7 p.m. with rosary at 7 p.m. Services with interment following will be on Thursday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Jude children’s Research Hospital.
