Raymond Holmes

Raymond Holmes, age 85, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023. He was born September 9, 1937 in Mathiston, Mississippi. He served in the United States Air Force, Raymond enjoyed playing golf and playing his guitar, he also loved to cook, fishing and going to the beach.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Holmes McFarland. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Francis Holmes; sons, George Holmes (Lisa), Wes Holmes (Susan); grandchildren, Nick Holmes (Jodie), Chase Holmes (Paige), Chad Holmes (Katelin), Valerie Ewing (Richard), Patrick Ray, Makenzie McFarland; Great Grandchildren, Hadley, Nolan, Griffin, Briggs, Reed, Georgia and Charlotte.

A celebration of life for Raymond will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, the family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 pm.
