Nora was born December 11, 1929, in Houston, Mississippi, but she lived her early years in Woodland, Mississippi. Her parents were John Willie and Virginia Hill Robertson. She eventually moved to Memphis, Tennessee where she met Donald Eugene Baldock, Sr., and they married March 26, 1955.
Nora spent 30 years working for the Federal Government in Computer and Programming Services. Her hobbies included gardening and volunteer work. She also enjoyed traveling, once she retired, and was able to visit several countries such as Germany, Italy, China, and more.
Her proudest family moments were when she married her only true love, and when her 3 children were born (her words).
Nora is survived by her three sons – Donald Baldock, Jr., Randy Baldock, and Richard Baldock, two sisters – Dora (Robertson) Harris, and Thelma (Robertson) Weems, three daughters in law, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and other family and friends.
Nora is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Eugene Baldock, Sr., and 8 siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s’ Research Hospital, where she volunteered time during her retirement years, or to Alzheimer’s Association. The family wishes to thank all those that helped impact Nora’s life for the better, as well as Foxbridge Assisted Living & Memory Care for helping taking care of “Mom” over the past 7+ years.
